Usual warnings for crack, AU and crossover fic; in addition, there's one spoiler for Torchwood 2x05, whatever that's worth.

Author's Notes: I'm not sure how I got this idea out of a rant about Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy. Warnings for one weak swear-word, liberal fourth-wall breaking, and a plot dreamt up at 1 AM. Dub names are retained for both canons, although Tai mentions some stuff which was never translated. Finally, the "couple of kids" are meant to be Takato + Henry, because Takuya + Koji don't really giggle.

I realise I'm taking on a lot more stuff than is probably healthy for me, but here goes... and I'm not bothering to list all my untouched fanfic100 prompt, because there's nigh-on ninety of them. Just the ones I have ideas for, then, because they're more eloquent than most bunnies already.

Notes: Ah, Christmas, that time of year where the spirit of giving is in the air and robins chirp in the snow-covered holly bushes. Or, in my case, where I'm ordered to stay up until 2 in the morning and then yelled at when I'm not in bed by midnight. No kidding.
The plot was ripped off inspired by that infamous episode 38 of Adventure 02, "Holy Night [insert some Japanese subtitle here]", a.k.a. "A Very Digi-Christmas", a.k.a. "OMG SORATO WTF DIE". I make no excuses for this. I wrote it at two in the morning, anyway. It's a lot longer than I thought it was.

Summary: It's been six months since the Chosen Children last saw their partners. Unable to join them in time to spend Christmas together, the Digimon team up to celebrate in their own way. They get it totally wrong, but who's counting?
